Month 1 — Game Foundations: Session 1: What makes a good game? Play and analyse 3 Scratch games Session 2: Set up your game world — backdrop and sprites Session 3: Player movement — arrow key controls Session 4: Boundaries — stop your player falling off screen
Month 2 — Game Mechanics: Session 5: Platforms and jumping Session 6: Enemies — create and move an obstacle Session 7: Collision detection — touching enemies ends the game Session 8: Collectibles — add coins or stars to collect
Month 3 — Polish & Publish: Session 9: Score counter and lives system Session 10: Level 2 — make it harder Session 11: Sound effects, music, and game-over screen Session 12: Game Showcase Day — play each other's games
